The replacement of the existing Acklam Grange School was part of a programme to replace several secondary schools in Middlesbrough
A fairly straightforward, albeit large, contract carried out on time and within budget. Late in the build the client chose to have acoustic control fitted in communal areas that had been designed with no suspended ceilings. As this aspect of the works was new to the scheme, costs had to be kept to a minimum whilst performance could not be compromised, to this end a bespoke system was designed and built, using ‘off the shelf’ products
